Quality

Part of the quality program at Kaehr involves the testing of all process solutions on a regular basis. All solutions are kept within the optimum chemical parameters usings SPC techniques. Operators follow written work instruction which establish temperature and time parameters for immersion in each solution. The result is to reduce variability in the process so that the results are more consistent. Time sensitive, materials, including paint, are controlled by a rigid inventory system.

Plating and paint thickness measurements are made using micrometers, eddy current, electromagnetic introduction or x-ray fluorescence techniques. Environmental testing such as salt fog and water immersion testing are performed on site, while outside laboratories are used for other tests required per specification.
